Koh Mak is located in the eastern gulf of Thailand, 35km away from the main-land shore (between Kok Chang and Koh Kut), 320 km south east from Bangkok. The island has an area of 16 square kilometers. Pristine sandy beaches stretch from the north west to the southern tip of the island. The inhabitants live on fishing and farming for generations.
